Ourea Events went into administration in March 2026. You can read the full news article here. Any further enquiries regarding Ourea Events should be sent to the administrators (see email address in that article). Regarding the races that had been planned to take place:
Dragon’s Back Race - acquired by Ultra X and happening in September 2026.
Northern Traverse - acquired by Ultra X and happening in April 2027.
Skyline Scotland - acquired by UTMB UK and planned for September 2027.
Cape Wrath Ultra - not acquired in its existing form, although event credits given by Ultra X to 2026 entrants, and other races on the Cape Wrath Trail may happen under other race organisers in future.
Kendal Skyline Ultra - not acquired by any company, and not organised by Ourea Events in 2026.
Great Lakeland 3Day - not acquired by any company, and had already previously announced it would not happen under Ourea Events in 2026.

The North Face Kendal Skyline Ultra

1 day | 50kmImmerse yourself in the local landmarks and geological features including limestone escarpments, castles, a deer park and river trails! A fantastic day of trail running for entry-level ultra runners and trail lovers alike, before it swings into the Kendal Mountain Festival Base Camp to a glorious finish cheered on by hundreds of festival goers.

adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run

1 day | 12kmThe event is part of the Kendal Mountain Festival, Pure trail running, strewn with natural obstacles (no arbitrary mud-baths or other obstacles required), just lots of great ascents, jaw-dropping vistas, some hard-packed and grassy trails and a great town centre finish.
