Ourea Events 2015 One Percent For The Planet Donation goes to the National Trust for Scotland
The National Trust for Scotland will receive Ourea Events 1% For The Planet 2015 donation in recognition of the superb support provided by the organisation for the Salomon Glen Coe Skyline™ in 2015.
As a 1% For The Planet member, Ourea Events donates 1% of its total turnover to organisations at the forefront of the protection of the mountain environment each year.
Rebecca Amiel the National Trust for Scotland’s Individual Giving Manager says, “The rugged beauty of Glencoe is loved by so many, yet many people don’t realise the amount of hard work and sheer graft involved in protecting this iconic place. As Scotland’s largest conservation charity and member of 1% for the Planet initiative, we are so grateful for Ourea Event’s donation towards Glencoe which will help protect this magnificent landscape, now and for generations to come.”
Shane Ohly, Director of Ourea Events added, “In the last year there has been a noticeable change in how landowners engage with event organisers. Often we are challenged on how we are offsetting the ecological impact of our events, whereas this question was a rarity a few years ago. As a business we take many measures to minimise our environmental footprint. However, some degree of impact is inevitable and we offset this in part with our annual donation via 1% For The Planet.”
