The Sustainability Award

This year again saw a massive increase in entries, so we created more categories to recognise the diversity of entries and the different events they presented. This is such a reassuring sign for our industry, that it is creating events of this quality shows confidence as well as excellence.

The entries have always grown stronger and stronger, but it really took a jump this year and it was a real challenge to create the shortlist. Within it though we have some incredible events reflecting the expertise, creativity and inspiration that is on show across the industry. It was a pleasure to read them all.

The awards shortlist

We are thrilled to be shortlisted for these awards which recognise the high standard of our events, and the commitments we have made towards best practice and sustainability.

Following a hugely successful edition of the Montane Dragon’s Back Race® in September this year, we are delighted that it has made the shortlist for the Event of the Year Award, recognising the huge amount of organisation, passion and hard work that goes into making this event so special.

We are regularly described as the gold standard operator in terms of best practice in adventure sport events, and we are thrilled that this has been recognised in making the shortlist for the Best Practice Award.

Sustainability remains central to our ethos and values at Ourea Events. We have been operating as a carbon neutral business since 2020 and record all greenhouse gas emissions from the business to produce a thorough sustainability report each year. We are pleased to have been shortlisted for the Sustainability Awards in recognition of these efforts towards delivering environmentally responsible events.
