It’s no secret the Peak District is home to some of the most beautiful trails in the country. Setting off from the popular town of Hathersage, you will run along the famous edges, with sweeping views at every turn, before passing through the iconic Chatsworth Park and onto the Monsal Trail.

Inspired by the pure challenge of tackling the iconic skyline of this favourite Lake District destination. Our route is a classic mountain loop of the Buttermere fells, taking in the famous Red Pike, High Stile, Hay Stacks, Dale Head, and Robinson summits, linking technical trails and magical Lakeland views.

The event is part of the Kendal Mountain Festival, Pure trail running, strewn with natural obstacles (no arbitrary mud-baths or other obstacles required), just lots of great ascents, jaw-dropping vistas, some hard-packed and grassy trails and a great town centre finish.

Immerse yourself in the local landmarks and geological features including limestone escarpments, castles, a deer park and river trails! A fantastic day of trail running for entry-level ultra runners and trail lovers alike, before it swings into the Kendal Mountain Festival Base Camp to a glorious finish cheered on by hundreds of festival goers.
